Birmingham Gems

Introducing

Birmingham Gems
2017 Calendar for Charity (Modern and Classic in harmony)

@BirminghamWeAre, the fast-growing twitter account for all city-wide engagements and collaborations (achieving almost 0.5M impressions every month), in association with IntheCity magazine, is delighted to announce the production of a limited edition 2017 Calendar in recognition of the growth and success of Birmingham.

The Birmingham Gems calendar is the first of many inspirational events planned for 2017 and the launch of a new web site for Birmingham We Are.

In recognition of Birmingham’s continuing growth and success, the theme selected for the 2017 calendar is “harmony” as demonstrated by the balance of modern and classic architecture, and the respect paid to Birmingham’s great history and heritage.

#ModernandClassic and #BirminghamGems

These two #twitter campaigns have run successfully @BirminghamWeAre throughout 2016.

By opening up the opportunity to the City’s communities and residents to share their passion for their City, several well-known and highly regarded photographers have shared their excellent photography with us.

Submissions for our calendar from those who live and/or work in Birmingham, from both amateur photographers and from professionals have far exceeded our expectations, and they continue to be sent to us.

The calendar contains 12 large and 12 small prints.

Accompanying each print is a ‘Did you know’ fact about Birmingham as it relates to the photograph.

In keeping with the City’s reach and interest shown in its growth and success, we have selected three charities to support – one global, one regional and one local.

The many children’s charities run by Barnardos help children in poverty, support young carers and help families looking to foster or adopt.
